The Martin HD-28MP Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar with Madagascar Rosewood is a custom shop version of the classic Martin HD-28 with a performing artist neck profile and Madagascar Rosewood on the back and sides. Martin could only make this model for just over a year due to skyrocketing prices of Madagascar Rosewood. This forced Martin to end this the production of this instrument and making it a rare gem for players and collectors. I purchased this guitar new in November of 2011 from McCabe’s Guitar in Santa Monica. The guitar has been played very little and is in mint condition. Always kept in case. One buckle is broken on the case.
