Description

Beautiful 2008 AVRI ‘62 Thin Skin Jazzmaster. This guitar is mostly stock, with the recent addition of a brand new Mastery M1 Bridge, and a vintage tortoiseshell pick guard. The pickups are Seymour Duncan Antiquity JMs. This guitar plays and sounds fantastic, and the upgraded pickups and bridge bring it to a whole new level in tone and playability. The neck is a medium C shape, with a 1.65″ nut width and a 9.5” radius fret board. It weighs in at 8.2lbs., very comfortable to play, and the body resonates particularly nice. The guitar is in great cosmetic condition, aside from a fingernail-sized ding on the back (see photo, very hard to see unless in the right light).

This is a factory special run (FSR) limited edition model, made for Wildwood Guitars. The 2008 thin skin Fenders have a unique “Limited Edition” neck place, which I haven’t seen on any other year. The 9.5” fret board radius is unique to the Thin Skin version of this model. The neck profile on the AVRI ‘62 model is a bit slimmer than the ‘65 reissue model. I’ve found the slimmer neck on the ’62 AVRI’s to be much more comfortable (for my taste), and much more versatile.

Includes the original tremolo bar, original 1/4” cable, original pick guard, original bridge, and original case.
